BIOGRAPHY

Jeanne Becker’s successful musical career formed in Denver, Colorado where she was the manager and lead singer for the Jeanne Becker Band performing regularly at the best Denver jazz clubs, nightclubs, and private engagements.

 

Ms. Becker’s rare and rich sound has now come to Chicago where she leads a superb jazz ensemble.  Her Chicago venues include Pops for Champagne, Fairmont Hotel’s Metropole Room, Plaza Tavern, Green Dolphin Street, the 95th Club, Gold Star Sardine Bar, University Club of Chicago, Ditka’s, Kuklas, Hotel Sofitel O'Hare, and many private social events.  Recently, Ms. Becker has been performing at the Drunken Bean in downtown Chicago and Chicagoland libraries including Wilmette Public Library and upcoming Skokie Public Library in addition to the Lake Forest - Lake Bluff Artisan Guild art fair.  Jeanne has also performed regularly at the London House in downtown Chicago, Eddie Merlot's (Burr Ridge and Lincolnshire) and Del Rio in Highwood, IL.

 

Jeanne's appealing style and wide repertoire developed from a variety of influences including jazz, swing, blues, and Latin sounds.  Her sensuous voice has been described as, "it feels and sounds like velvet."
